Job summary

ThriveCart is seeking a QA Engineer to own quality end-to-end for its e-commerce platform, focusing on test strategy, automation, defect prevention, and production health monitoring. AI-enabled test case generation and data creation are core, with emphasis on judgment, risk, and critical thinking.

You will write and maintain API/integration/end-to-end tests, ensure CI/CD integration, and monitor features in production using observability tools.

Qualifications

• Strong testing fundamentals and risk-based prioritization.
• Hands-on automation experience with Playwright.
• Comfortable with API testing (Postman/REST) and logs reading.
• Ability to use AI tools in a QA workflow and critique AI output.
• Clear written bug reports and test plans that others can act on without meetings.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy and planning for features and domains, including acceptance criteria.
• Write and maintain automated tests (API, integration, end-to-end) in team frameworks.
• Monitor production quality and respond to incidents with targeted regression testing.
• Prioritize AI-generated test output based on risk and project context.
• Advocate for quality through reproducible bug reports and known issue documentation.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability and strengthen unit tests.
