Storm2 in Washington, DC is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to join our engineering team. This role combines building products with direct collaboration with technical customers, offering a highly hands-on, high-ownership path.

You will remain deeply involved in code while partnering with product and engineering teams at enterprise customers to integrate APIs, SDKs, and developer tools, troubleshoot complex issues, and create internal tools that enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and engineering background.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, integrations, or developer platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical partner to customer product and engineering teams.
• Help customers integrate APIs, SDKs, developer tools, and embedded products.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across multiple customer accounts.
• Write production-quality code to improve both customer-facing and internal systems.
• Design technical solutions rather than simply configuring existing tools.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly through Slack, tickets, documentation, and customer calls.
• Identify recurring challenges and build scalable engineering solutions.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to influence roadmap decisions.
