Job summary

CommodityAI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the full customer onboarding lifecycle and manage deployments from sales handoff to live production. You will act as the technical PM, coordinate with engineering and customer stakeholders, and tune AI agents and workflows for each client.

The role requires 3–7 years in customer-facing deployments, strong PM skills, and hands-on experience with Python/TypeScript.

Qualifications

3–7 years in forward deployed engineering or similar customer-facing deployment roles.
Experience owning full deployment lifecycle from onboarding to production.
Strong PM skills with multiple deployments juggling.
Experience with Python or TypeScript and APIs.
Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows.
Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Own the full customer onboarding lifecycle, from sales handoff to live production within the first weeks of a three-month paid pilot.
Act as the technical PM for each customer: bridge engineering and customer stakeholders, manage timelines, and unblock deployments.
Configure and tune AI agents and automation workflows to fit each customer's data and logic.
Build internal and external tooling to help future FDEs and customers onboard faster and more independently.
Lead customer calls—kickoffs, updates, and training—with travel up to 30%.
