Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Decision Intelligence Engineer to own the application of AI-driven decision systems across the NBA platform. You will translate stakeholder objectives into structured decision models and build agentic workflows using LangGraph, LangChain, and enterprise AI tools.

You will lead a small team of engineers, work closely with product and decision science teams, and shape governance, safety, and evaluation frameworks to improve member outcomes and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of software/AI engineering experience with 1–2 years in technical leadership.
• Strong Python engineering experience building and operating production AI systems.
• Hands‑on experience building agentic applications using LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI, Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable enterprise AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of Decision Intelligence concepts, including decision modeling, optimization, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor AI engineers, establish engineering standards, and conduct design reviews.
• Drive execution across the Decision Intelligence workstream with cross‑functional teams.
• Architect and implement agentic workflows and decision processes in production.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business objectives into AI capabilities.
• Establish evaluation frameworks measuring quality, adoption, and impact.
