Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI Data Scientist to join our AI Center of Excellence, focusing on enterprise AI innovation and deployment.

You will design, evaluate, and optimize AI systems, including RAG, copilots, and autonomous agents, driving business value across Deltek's software solutions. The role emphasizes practical AI implementation, model evaluation, and scalability, reporting to the Senior Director, AI Solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions.
• 3+ years hands-on with Agentic AI, Generative AI and LLMs.
• Proven experience building AI copilots, assistants, RAG or AI agents.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, and deploy enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Implement conversational AI, AI copilots, and intelligent assistants.
• Design and optimize advanced prompt engineering strategies.
• Develop multimodal AI solutions (text, image, audio, documents).
• Design and develop AI Agents capable of complex reasoning and task execution.
• Build multi-agent frameworks and agent orchestration.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy AI into production environments.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and governance for AI solutions.
