Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal AI Data Scientist to lead enterprise AI initiatives. You will design, build, and optimize AI systems using LLMs, agents, and RAG to drive business outcomes.

Strong emphasis on responsible AI, governance, and scalable deployment across enterprise environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, evaluate models, and establish benchmarks while advancing AI innovation within the Deltek AI Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, AI, ML, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions.
• 3+ years hands-on with Agentic AI, Generative AI and LLMs.
• Experience building AI copilots, assistants, RAG or AI agents.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions.
• Build AI apps leveraging LLMs & SLMs and RAG architectures.
• Develop conversational AI, copilots, and intelligent assistants.
• Design and optimize prompt engineering strategies.
• Develop multimodal AI solutions with text, images, audio, docs.
• Design AI agents and autonomous workflows with enterprise integration.
• Implement tool-calling and agent memory architectures; optimize planning.
