Job summary

Tarrant County seeks a Lead Application Programmer Analyst to plan, architect, develop, maintain and support its most complex web, intranet, and client-server applications. You will guide SDLC best practices, supervise developers, and partner with users and vendors on requirements and deployments.

Strong expertise in .NET, HTML, web services, relational databases and integration frameworks is required, along with leadership and communication abilities to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 4 years of IT experience including systems analysis, design and programming.
• Experience building applications using .NET, HTML and web services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and integration frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, multi-tasking as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and leads department employees to provide 24-hour support.
• Communicates with end-users and vendors to obtain requirements for projects.
• Leads design, programming, maintenance and testing of complex applications.
• Writes advanced programs and creates reports for county departments.
• Updates user and training documentation and provides training.
• Partners with business units to improve system efficiency.
• Provides second-level end-user support.
• Analyzes application performance and upgrade needs.
• Manages interface and error logs; maintains business process procedures.
• Resolves tickets and coordinates change requests for production.
• Works with vendors on deployments and issue resolution.
• Analyzes and resolves complex data problems.
