Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a Senior Application Programmer Analyst to plan, develop, maintain, and support enterprise web and client-server applications. The role emphasizes SDLC best practices, security, testing, deployment, and cross-team collaboration.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least three years of IT experience, including systems analysis, design, and programming, with .NET, HTML and web services. Strong database skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3 years of IT experience including systems analysis, design and programming.
• Experience building applications using .NET, HTML and web services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and integration frameworks.
• Ability to gather requirements, analyze systems and translate business needs into solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with end-users and vendors to obtain requirements for projects and updates.
• Leads design, programming, maintenance and testing of complex applications.
• Writes advanced programs and designs reports and forms as requested by county departments.
• Updates user and training documentation and provides end-user training.
• Partners with business units to identify improvements to increase system efficiency.
• Provides second-level end-user support and 24-hour on-call readiness.
• Manages interfaces and log analysis; ensures SLA compliance.
