Job summary

Zoom is hiring a Principal AI Agent Engineer to build the ZoomMate agent harness and its runtime, memory, and evaluation layers. You will collaborate with product teams to embed the framework in Zoom products, focusing on scalable, production-ready infrastructure and multi-agent capabilities.

You will work with Claude Code/Codex-like agents and modern tooling to enable agents across Zoom's ecosystem, balancing performance, reliability, and integration simplicity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software and ML systems.
• Experience in agentic systems using LLMs (tool use, planning, reasoning, memory, orchestration).
• Strong programming fundamentals and system design.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve the ZoomMate agent harness and related tooling.
• Architect framework and API/SDK surfaces for easy integration.
• Develop tool-use and interoperability layers across Zoom and third-party apps.
• Create evaluations for agent quality, latency, and cost.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle: design docs, reviews, deployment, monitoring, on-call.
