Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build the AI Services Platform powering its intelligent capabilities. You will design core AI infrastructure, including context layer intelligence, agents, RAG pipelines, and scalable service orchestration across multi-region deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience.
• 5+ years in distributed systems and backend engineering at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Strong software architecture, observability, and performance optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/ML or equivalent experience.
• Experience building or evaluating AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, safety mechanisms, and agent evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the AI Services Platform architecture including core infrastructure for context intelligence, agent orchestration, and RAG pipelines.
• Develop a distributed systems infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency AI service orchestration across multi-region deployments.
• Build observability, monitoring, and safety systems for reliable AI service behavior at scale.
• Create evaluation/benchmarking frameworks for AI service quality, latency, accuracy, and cost.
• Collaborate with product and infra teams to define APIs, service contracts, and integration patterns.
• Stay current with LLMs, embeddings/vector databases, and AI infrastructure to improve capabilities.
