Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead System Engineer for the Radar Altimeters group. You will operate as a System and Design/Development Engineer, lead others, and provide guidance to engineering and business leadership across programs.

The role requires strong leadership, aviation safety focus, and ability to obtain security clearance, with travel up to 10% within US and internationally. You will influence product roadmaps and ensure certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

Responsibilities

• Provide support to existing programs and develop skills quickly to operate independently
• Develop requirements and system architecture – perform trade studies
• Design to meet requirements (discipline dependent)
• Test and validate designs – prototype phase and formal compliance testing
• Draft program artifacts (systems requirements, test procedures, reports, white papers)
• Provide support for devices in production
• Participate in proposals and cost estimation
• Assist teammates as needed
• Perform RCCA on issues during development and production
• Stay abreast of industry standards and distill into actionable activities
• Provide expert recommendations to leadership on pursuits and roadmaps
