Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 at its Decatur, AL facility.

The role focuses on designing and implementing manufacturing processes, procedures, and planning for multiple build items, collaborating with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, and maintaining product quality through corrective actions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 4 years of related experience, with preferred exposure to SAP ERP and aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.
• Attention to detail and good documentation of observations/findings.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing manufacturing processes for multiple build items in support of other assembly areas in the factory.
• Designing sequence of operations and specific procedures for hardware in work center.
• Inspecting performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
• Investigates and initiates corrective action to ensure product quality.
• Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
