Job summary

Laborup is seeking an NC Programmer to design and engineer manufacturing processes for aerospace components. You’ll program 3, 4, 5, and 6-axis CNC machines, develop fixtures, and optimize toolpaths to meet tight tolerances used in mission-critical systems.

Proficiency in Vericut, Mastercam, CATIA, and SolidWorks is required, with experience on large Cincinnati gantry machines and familiarity with Boeing-like primes.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of NC/CNC programming in precision aerospace environment.
• Experience using Vericut software for program simulation.
• Mastercam and CATIA proficiency.
• SolidWorks proficiency.
• Experience with large Cincinnati gantry machines is a differentiator.
• Previous experience with Boeing or aerospace primes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer complete manufacturing processes for mechanical parts, light assemblies, and large-scale gantry CNCs.
• Develop, write, and optimize programs for 3, 4, 5, and 6-axis CNC machines.
• Utilize Vericut to simulate, verify, and optimize toolpaths for aerospace contracts.
• Create CAD drawings for fixtures, workstations, and related manufacturing devices.
• Review engineering documents for manufacturability and assess impact of changes on fixtures and processes.
• Support manufacturing process quoting and provide technical assistance to internal teams.
• Apply industrial engineering techniques to improve productivity and process efficiency.
• Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, and process issues on the floor to maintain quality and throughput.
