Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC seeks an experienced Aerial Telecom Lineman to lead crews and perform high‑level fiber/copper aerial installations. You will climb poles, install cables, and manage field operations ensuring safety and adherence to plans and standards.

Responsibilities include directing groundstaff, interpreting design maps, and training teammates while maintaining a focus on quality, productivity, and incident prevention in diverse weather and site conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Telecommunications or lineman training preferred
• Valid driver's license for the specified vehicle(s)

Responsibilities

• Perform aerial telecommunications construction activities including pole climbing, strand placement, cable placement, and lashing of fiber or copper cables according to project specs and safety protocols
• Lead and direct groundmen and crew members in supporting aerial construction activities
• Interpret and follow telecom construction plans, design maps, and fiber route documentation
• Install aerial telecom infrastructure including messenger strand, fiber optic cable, copper cable, anchors, hardware, and related components
• Operate bucket trucks and specialized aerial construction equipment such as tensioners, cable pullers, and lashers
• Ensure installation practices comply with NESC, company standards, and client specs
• Identify and resolve field construction challenges including clearance issues and route adjustments
• Document work progress, material usage, and field conditions for reporting
• Maintain safety policies and PPE usage and traffic control measures
• Train and mentor crew members on proper aerial telecom construction techniques and safety
