Job summary

Meissner in Camarillo, CA is seeking an Advanced Product Engineer to drive design, testing, and release of complex biopharmaceutical products and subsystems. You will independently lead development efforts, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure designs are manufacturable and verifiable for production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 4+ years as engineer (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Product) required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to independently manage complex development workstreams and schedules.
• Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools; familiarity with MS Project preferred.
• Experience applying AI-based development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robust mechanical designs balancing performance, manufacturability, and program timelines.
• Own development of complex molded parts or assemblies including tooling strategy and tolerance schemes.
• Lead mechanical subassemblies design and supplier coordination across interfacing parts.
• Lead rapid prototyping and lean testing (DOE) to evaluate concepts.
• Coordinate supplier identification and lifecycle for complex products; build supplier relationships.
• Develop and execute qualification and validation protocols; design of experiments (DOE) for PAR and CQAs.
• Author FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for bioprocessing capital equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as SME on product lifecycle and defend application-specific capabilities.
