Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Lead Advanced Practice Provider for the Blood Cancers Clinic. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, mentoring APPs and coordinating coverage across inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading APP teams and coordinating coverage schedules.
• Strong collaboration with physicians and administrative leadership.
• Experience in oncology or hematology and in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages APP coverage schedules for inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conducts annual performance evaluations of assigned APP staff.
• Monitors safety and quality related to APP practice and implements improvements.
• Reports on APP-related access, productivity, and barriers to care.
• Contributes to quality improvement and clinical program evaluation.
• Leads team meetings to address patient care barriers and implement solutions.
• Promotes participation in CME opportunities for APP staff.
• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic management within scope of practice.
