Palo Verde Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Assessment and Referral for its Intake/Admissions Department. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, you will ensure smooth processes for responding to intake calls, referrals, and admissions into the hospital.

Responsibilities include supervising intake staff, assisting with interviewing and training, and providing leadership to serve patients and referral sources promptly.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required in related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an intake/admissions department in a healthcare facility (preferrable behavioral health).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona or licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT).
• Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; annual PPD or every 4 years chest x-ray thereafter.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for assisting in management of the department, supervising Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately.
• Assist the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees and with performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Assist in daily administrative duties and Admissions tasks as needed within the department.
• Provide effective leadership within the Admissions Department and organize staff to serve patients and referral sources timely.
