Job summary

Butte County is seeking an experienced Administrative Analyst to lead complex program and budget analysis in an in-person role within the District Attorney’s Office. The position emphasizes financial administration, grants management, and regulatory compliance while offering lead direction and staff development opportunities.

The role requires developing actionable insights, coordinating with multiple departments, and preparing influential reports for management and external entities.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, human resources management, accounting, public administration, economics, or a closely related field; and
• Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional experience performing administrative, operational, management, or fiscal/financial analysis at a level equivalent to Administrative Analyst II/III.

Responsibilities

• Leads and provides staff direction, organizes work, assigns priorities, and reviews outputs.
• Develops and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery; monitors workload and systems.
• Coordinates activities with other departments to align on programs and projects.
• Represents the department in interdepartmental and community meetings; collaborates with County staff on analysis and planning.
• Performs professional-level administrative and program analysis in budget development, financial reporting, grants, purchasing, contracts, HR, risk management, and training.
• Conducts research and analyzes data to prepare reports, recommendations, and forecasts for management and external entities.
