Job summary

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) seeks an experienced Actuary, Reserving for North America Specialty to lead reserving workstreams and coordinate the analysts team. You will interact with senior management and ensure timely, accurate reserves aligned with global standards.

You will oversee the reserving process, develop efficient reporting, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong collaboration with Finance, Risk and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• FIA or FCAS preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial lines.
• Experience of reviewing and managing reserving processes.
• Experience of setting reserves.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disparate stakeholders, respond and prioritise work effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day work of the analysts team and coordinate reserving activities for North America Specialty.
• Review and report reserves and MI to senior management.
• Ensure consistency in reserving approach across products and global standards.
• Collaborate with North America and International teams to improve processes.
• Support annual audit reviews, internal audits and SOX reviews for North America Specialty products.
• Develop efficient processes for presenting reserving information across Global Specialty.
