Job summary

Deer Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Director of Activities to design and oversee a calendar of resident programs, events, and outings that enhance well-being and engagement.

You will supervise activity staff, manage budgets, collaborate with other departments and community partners, and participate in leadership meetings to align programming with resident care goals.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as assistant director of activities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activity programs that meet the needs and interests of residents
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of activity staff, providing feedback and guidance
• Monitor and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
• Foster relationships with local community organizations and vendors to enhance programming
• Participate in weekly meetings with the Director of Nursing and other department leaders to discuss resident care and program development
