Job summary

CareCore at Meadows is hiring an Activity Director to plan and lead engaging programs that enrich residents’ lives. You will coordinate a wide range of recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities, creating monthly calendars and events.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a compassionate approach to resident engagement and the ability to tailor activities to individual needs. Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Activity Director Certification preferred (or eligible to obtain certification).
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Creative, energetic and compassionate approach to resident engagement.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead both group and one-on-one activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive activities program for residents.
• Develop engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Create monthly activity calendars and special events.
• Encourage resident participation while tailoring activities to individual interests and abilities.
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers.
• Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life.
