Job summary

CommuniCare is seeking an energetic Activities Director to lead the activities team and deliver resident-centered programs. You will plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities, involve residents in planning, and advocate for their needs and rights within a supportive team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or a 90-hour course plus prior management experience; driving may be required and benefits include PTO and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or related field, or 90-hour course for activity professionals with continuing education.
• Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience in healthcare preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions and communicate with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversified resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning and advocate for their needs and rights.
• Attend meetings and maintain activity records and reports.
