New Chapter Inc. in Brattleboro, VT, is seeking a Lead Accountant to provide subject matter expertise in accounting functions and to help modernize processes. This role supports monthly financial closings for two legal entities, assists audits, and UAT activities.

Qualifications include an accounting degree and 3+ years inAccounts Payables with multi-state sales & use tax filings; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is strongly preferred; advanced Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience in Accounts Payables including multi-state sales & use tax filings.
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC; strong Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support on-time monthly financial closings for multiple legal entities.
• Assist audits and User Acceptance Testing activities.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers and balance sheet accounts with remediation of open items.
• Coordinate and deliver trainings in support of F&A policies.
• Maintain job aids and ensure backups are properly trained.
