Ready to take ownership of more than just journal entries?
Circle Logistics is growing—and our Finance team is growing with us. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to do more than maintain the books. This is a hands-on, high-visibility opportunity to own meaningful pieces of the accounting cycle, work with complex multi-entity financials, improve processes, and partner directly with Finance leadership.
If you're an experienced accountant who loves digging into the numbers, solving problems, and making things better—and you're looking for a path toward leadership or a supervisory role—this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
We’re a fast-growing transportation and logistics company moving millions of dollars of freight across the country. That means our accounting environment is high-volume, complex, and anything but boring.
At Circle, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Own significant portions of the month-end and year-end close
- Work with multiple entities and international subsidiaries
- Dive into high-volume freight and carrier transactions
- Partner with Finance and operational leadership
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes
- Build audit-ready reporting and strengthen internal controls
- Gain exposure to complex accounting that will expand your skill set
- Have direct visibility with Finance leadership
- Position yourself for future leadership opportunities
What You'll Own
Month-End & Year-End Close
- Prepare, review, and validate journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and recurring/reversing entries
- Manage payroll accrual methodologies, including reverse-and-re-accrue processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Maintain the general ledger and keep the close calendar on track
Multi-Entity Accounting
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Manage intercompany eliminations
- Support consolidation across U.S. and international entities
- Navigate foreign-entity and multi-currency accounting considerations
- Maintain accurate entity-level and consolidated trial balances
- Handle freight revenue and cost recognition
- Reconcile operational data from our TMS, TransportPro, into the accounting system
- Manage AR/AP, factoring, and carrier-payment reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Develop clean, audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations
- Serve as a key contact for external auditors
- Provide documentation and respond to audit requests
- Strengthen processes and internal controls as the organization grows
Analysis & Process Improvement
- Turn large, complex datasets into information leadership can actually use
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend better ways to do things
- Look for opportunities to automate repetitive accounting processes
- Help make our close and reporting processes faster, cleaner, and more scalable
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience owning month-end and year-end close activities
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis skills
- Advanced Excel skills—including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/INDEX, and large-dataset manipulation
- Experience working with ERP/general ledger systems
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
- Ability to explain not just what the numbers say, but why they say it
Even Better If You Have:
- CPA certification or are actively pursuing your CPA
- Freight brokerage, 3PL, transportation, or another high-volume transaction environment
- Multi-entity consolidation and intercompany elimination experience
- TransportPro, Cargotel, or Tai experience
- SQL, Power Query, BI, or other data analytics/automation experience
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior accounting staff
This Could Be Your Next Step
We're not looking for someone who simply wants to check boxes and process transactions.
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership, solve problems, improve processes, and grow.
If you're ready to bring your accounting expertise into a fast-paced, growing organization where your work is visible and your ideas matter, we'd love to hear from you.
