Job Description:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Lead Accountant to join our finance team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. You’ll play a critical part in process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, and other departments on financial accuracy
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Experience working in enterprise or fast-paced environments
