WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

Partner with the Controller and Director of Finance to manage core accounting processes and drive strategic financial planning
Lead manufacturing cost accounting functions, including analysis of labor, materials, and overhead
Ensure accurate inventory valuation and perform periodic reconciliations to maintain integrity across systems
Develop profitability analyses by product, customer, and business unit to guide pricing and operational strategy
Maintain general ledger accuracy across AP, AR, and journal entries related to inventory and standard costs
Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, preparing schedules and reconciliations
Support audits through timely and accurate cost and financial documentation
Help build and maintain internal controls related to inventory and costing accuracy
Leverage ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics BC 14) to manage financial data, reconciliations, and reporting
Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement and financial planning

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4-5+ years of progressive general accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of cost and inventory accounting principles
Advanced analytical skills with a focus on financial accuracy and decision support
High proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics BC, SAP, or Oracle
Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong communicator with the ability to present financial data clearly to various stakeholders
Self-motivated and collaborative; able to work independently and cross-functionally
