GL Accountant is responsible for assisting with a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions specific to month-end, year-end, and audit.

Job Duties

Preparation and posting of month-end and year-end journal entries
Performs daily, monthly, and quarterly account reconciliations including cash, prepaid, intercompany, & liability accounts.
Provide support for US and International financial audits.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Collaboration with internal and external departments. This can include forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis as requested.
Provide support to the Senior GL Accountant and Accounting Manger as requested
Continuously improve accounting procedures by analyzing current processes, recommending changes to streamline Workday and developing spreadsheet reports associated with the accounting close process.

Required Skills And Abilities

Highly motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and cross-functionally within the company
A working knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills
Multi-Currency and intercompany background a plus
Excel knowledge including Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
3+ years of reporting and analytical experience
Experience in Workday or Acumatica a plus.
