Job summary

Five Bays Insurance Agency is seeking a licensed AE Lead to drive sales for a squad-focused team in disaster-prone markets. You will own the client plan, manage complex coverage conversations, decide binds, and coach your Follow while our AI tooling handles the clerical work.

This role targets experienced producers who want to sell more by working smarter, not by handling every touch. You will work remotely within the U.S., in alignment with California business hours, reporting to the VP of

Qualifications

• 4+ years of P&C insurance sales experience, with a track record of closing personal lines business.
• Active California Property & Casualty license (resident or non-resident) or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
• Strong knowledge of homeowners insurance in catastrophe-exposed markets; experience with the California FAIR Plan, DIC and surplus lines is a plus.
• Experience leading, mentoring or coaching other producers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and comfortable working a pipeline across email, phone, CRM and shared inboxes.
• Desire to embrace and incorporate advanced AI tooling into sales workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own your squad's pipeline and results: prioritize deals, set the approach for each client and hit the squad's new business premium targets.
• Advise clients on coverage, carrier options and market constraints, including FAIR Plan, DIC and surplus lines placements, through our online quote experience, email or phone.
• Handle complex objections, eligibility questions and coverage changes, and decide when a risk needs manual or wholesale quoting.
• Confirm each client's election and required pre-bind documents, and bind coverage with carriers, MGAs and wholesalers.
• Delegate well: hand licensed follow-ups and closes to your AE Follow, and preparation, scheduling and document collection to your Support Associate.
• Coach and develop your AE Follow, and cover for each other so clients always reach a licensed advisor.
• Keep our CRM accurate, with a clear next action, owner and due date on every deal, and hand bound policies to our centralized servicing team cleanly.
