Job summary

KCI Telecommunications is seeking a Lead Access Control / Security Systems Technician to support projects in the Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC markets. You will lead a crew on-site while installing access control systems, security cameras, and low-voltage cabling under the Foreman.

This role requires hands-on installation, ability to read project drawings, mentor junior technicians, and maintain quality, safety, and schedule.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of relevant low-voltage, access control, security, or structured cabling experience.
Prior lead or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
Hands-on security camera and door access installation experience required.
Ability to read and interpret project drawings and installation plans.
Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments and traveling locally.

Responsibilities

Lead a crew on-site: assign tasks, track progress, and keep installs on schedule.
Install and mount security cameras and associated equipment.
Install door access and access control systems.
Perform low-voltage and structured cabling installation as required.
Pull, route, dress, and terminate cabling.
Mentor developing technicians and communicate progress to Foreman and PM.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure compliance with safety practices.
