Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Required Certifications and Skills for A/V Integration II include:

• CTS-I or CTS-D certification preferred. Other industry-related certifications or training (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Dante, Comptia Network, Shure) are a plus.
• Demonstrated competency in equipment installation, wiring, and basic functionality checks (power, signal pass/display).
• Experience with equipment rack loading, wiring, and terminations.
• Proficiency in display mounting, setup, alignment, and wiring.
• Knowledge of surface and ceiling speaker mounting, cabling, wiring, and understanding of direct drive vs. constant voltage, proper loading levels, and cabling requirements.
• Ability to install and set up room schedulers and wireless presentation appliances.
• Understanding of basic network OSI Model, DHCP, and IP scopes.
• Knowledge of USB standards and limitations, HDMI, HDSDI, VGA, DVI, DisplayPort connectors and their differences.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and supervise installation projects from start to finish, coordinating with project managers, clients, and team members.
• Installation Experience: Install, configure, and troubleshoot A/V systems in commercial environments; proficient with mounting and aligning displays, screens, and projectors.
• Cabling and Termination: Run and terminate various cables (HDMI, Cat6, fiber optic), ensuring neat cable management.
• Equipment Integration: Integrate and program control systems like Crestron, QSC; experience with DSP programming and audio calibration.
• Product Knowledge: Familiar with Biamp, Shure, Crestron, and other leading A/V equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate installation documentation, wiring diagrams, and project reports.
• Quality Assurance: Perform testing, troubleshooting, and resolve issues to ensure system performance.
• Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and organizational skills; work both independently and as part of a team; pursue continuous learning; conduct client training as needed.

Baseline Technician Qualifications

• Ability to read wiring schematics, building plans, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods and tools, emphasizing electrical standards for commercial environments.
• Comfort working in confined spaces, heights, and getting dirty.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to drive a full-size van, and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug test, lift items up to 70 pounds, and work full-time in office and field settings within 100 miles of Columbus.

Certificates/Security Clearances/Other
