Job summary

StandardAero, Inc. in Augusta, GA seeks a Lead A&P Mechanic for the 2nd shift on Textron Hawker maintenance. You will supervise a crew, mentor technicians, and cover Crew Chief duties in their absence while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion of tasks.

You will pre‑plan work, allocate resources, review work orders, and manage parts ordering, while evaluating performance and approving time. A strong leader with 5+ years of licensed A&P experience and Hawker heavy maintenance

Qualifications

• Licensed A&P mechanic with at least 5 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of heavy maintenance on Textron Hawker aircraft.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in an MRO environment.
• Available to work 2nd shift, with overtime as required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew to ensure high performance and safety.
• Monitor hours charged to jobs for cost control and approve technicians' time.
• Appraise crew members and recommend salary/status changes.
• Pre-plan work scope and action plans for incoming jobs, including parts.
• Deploy resources and assign tasks efficiently.
• Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and engine calibration test equipment.
• Complete paperwork and review work orders for QA.
• Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure task completion.
• Serve as a technical expert on assigned Hawker fleet types.
