Job summary

StandardAero Augusta is seeking a Licensed A&P Mechanic III for Hawker aircraft, performing routine to heavy maintenance and major inspections. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and modify components to ensure airworthiness.

The role requires active FAA A&P, 5+ years’ experience, and 2+ years in business aviation, with willingness to work overtime and weekends. Company offers relocation assistance and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Minimum five years’ experience as an A&P Mechanic.
• Minimum 2 years working in Business Aviation.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft per OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
• Remove and install wheels, brakes, flight controls and riggings
• Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems including hydraulics, landing gear, and more.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Analyze mechanical problems to determine the best repair methods.
• Test, repair, and adjust engines, engine controls, and flight controls.
• Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
• Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
• Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan aircraft.
• Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
• Make informed decisions on maintenance techniques and troubleshooting.
• Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
• Utilize mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration test equipment.
