Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking a Lead Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic in Stuart, Florida, to manage and perform major corporate aircraft maintenance projects on a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. The role requires hands-on leadership and collaboration with other technicians to ensure safe, compliant maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a valid FAA A&P certificate with substantial business aviation experience, including Hawker maintenance, and can supervise inspections, troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required.
• Substantial corporate or business aviation maintenance experience.
• Previous Hawker aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to lead major inspections, repairs or aircraft maintenance projects.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Strong aircraft troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass FAA-mandated drug and alcohol testing and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Lead aircraft inspections, troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance management on daily planning and workload distribution.
• Support timely completion of major aircraft maintenance projects.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
• Ensure maintenance complies with FAA regulations and manufacturer procedures.
• Verify maintenance records and signoffs are accurate and complete.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
