Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee facility operations on a 10:00pm–8:30am shift. The role focuses on safe, reliable operations of building systems, preventive and corrective maintenance, and leadership of technicians on a mission-critical site.

The candidate will ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence, with experience in central plant environments and strong supervision abilities. Applicants must meet security eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Applicants subject to a government security investigation; U.S. Citizenship required for access to classified information; ability to obtain/maintain HSPD & Secret (Active).
• Experience operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting central plant and institutional mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct managerial leadership for assigned shift personnel and oversee work assignments.
• Lead daily facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted service and reliability.
• Prioritize, assign, monitor, and adjust technician activities based on safety, workload, and competency; ensure proper supervision.
• Maintain shift performance records, CMMS documentation, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with management, BOC, and technical support to address operational and safety concerns.
