Utopian Game Labs Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Lead Artist / Character Animator for an original 3D action-adventure game.

This remote freelance/contractor role focuses on artistic and animation production (70–80%), collaborating directly with the Creative Director to set and maintain visual standards. Responsibilities include 3D character modelling, animation, environment props, texturing, lighting, and integrating assets in Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lead artist with strong Unreal Engine know-how.
• Proficient in 3D character creation and animation pipelines.
• Experience integrating assets and optimizing scenes in Unreal.
• Ability to set visual standards and review art quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead artistic direction and character animation for an original 3D action-adventure.
• Modelling characters, creatures, environments, and props.
• Texture, light, and render scenes with consistent quality.
• Import and refine assets in Unreal Engine; troubleshoot visuals.
• Collaborate with Creative Director to maintain visuals.
