Job summary

King City Gardens in Wilmington, OH is seeking a Lead to manage production operations, coach a team of up to 20, and ensure safety, quality, and GMP compliance.

The role requires strong Excel skills, clear communication, and the ability to train and develop staff; hours are Monday–Friday 4pm–1am; pay is $24.50 per hour; full-time with health, vision, and dental benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role with direct reports.
• 2+ years working in an assembly or production environment
• 1+ years of experience in training or coaching

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities while ensuring team members follow PPE, uniform, GMP, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Coach, train, and hold employees accountable for meeting production quotas and quality standards.
• Monitor team performance, provide corrective action when needed, and report underperformance to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Train new hires within the assigned production area and support their development.
• Oversee packaging operations to ensure products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards and production goals.
• Accurately enter daily production data and maintain required spreadsheets and reports.
• Communicate closely with the Production Value Stream Supervisor regarding goals, performance, quality, equipment, materials, and staffing.
• Help troubleshoot production issues and keep workflows running smoothly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Leads play a critical role in keeping KCG’s production operations running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. Leading a team of up to 20 employees, this role is responsible for driving daily performance, developing team members, and ensuring production goals are consistently met. From coaching and training staff to troubleshooting issues and improving workflows, Leads help turn production plans into results. Working closely with the Supervisor, this position serves as a key link between leadership and the production floor, ensuring teams stay aligned, processes run smoothly, all while following company policies and GMP regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with production management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to use Microsoft Excel for accurate data entry and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Ability to de-escalate workplace situations quickly, professionally, and effectively.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role with direct reports.
• 2+ years working in an assembly or production environment
• 1+ years of experience in training or coaching

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the cannabis, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production industries.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of standing or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs

• Must be 21+
• No felonies
• No trafficking Charges
