Job summary

King City Gardens is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production running safely, efficiently, and consistently. You will operate automated and semi-automated equipment, maintain cleanliness, and ensure quality and labeling compliance.

You will work closely with the production team to meet daily goals in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a general automation machine operator and is detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating automation machinery.
• Ability to prepare concise records and reports.
• Ability to monitor equipment and product quality and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Operates automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Conducts line clearances and label verification.
• Communicates issues related to equipment, quality, inspection, or troubleshooting.
• Collaborates with and oversees other operators as needed.
• Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Machine Operator

Pay: $24.50 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday: 4pm - 1am

Machine Operators play a key role in keeping KCG’s production operations running safely, efficiently, and consistently. They’re responsible for operating automated and semi-automated equipment, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and ensuring products meet quality and labeling standards. Another key responsibility is working closely with the production team to identify issues, support smooth workflows, and help meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Operates various pieces of automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Conduct line clearances and label verification.
• Communicate any issues involving equipment operation, quality evaluation, inspection, or troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with and monitor the performance of other operators as needed.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Understanding of automated assembly or packaging equipment.
• Ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports.
• Ability to continuously monitor equipment and product quality, and communicate machine, component, and/or product issues to support personnel.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a general automation machine operator.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the cannabis, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production industries.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of standing or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Division of Cannabis Control Requirements:

• Must be 21+
• No felonies
• No trafficking Charges
