Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles seeks a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) Clinical Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality patient care for perinatal services during 12‑hour shifts.

You will apply evidence‑based practices, collaborate with the CUS, Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary teams, maintain Baby‑Friendly standards, and document care from admission through discharge.

Qualifications

• BSN required; degree may be substituted with equivalent.
• 1+ year of labor and delivery nursing experience requested.
• Spanish bilingual preferred; ACLS/BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and maintains competencies of the LDRP RN.
• Attends laboring, cesarean, and vaginal births; immediate newborn and maternal assessments.
• Performs documentation of care, IPOC, and discharge planning per policy.
• Utilizes SBAR in emergencies and routine handoffs.
• Collaborates with CUS, Nurse Manager, and senior leadership; adheres to Baby‑Friendly standards.
