Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Healthcare (MLKCH) is seeking a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) Clinical Registered Nurse for a per diem night shift to support the perinatal unit in the Los Angeles area.

The RN will apply evidence-based perinatal care, collaborate with the Clinical Unit Supervisor and nursing leadership, perform obstetric and newborn assessments, and ensure safety and quality in patient care within the MLKCH mission and core values.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required; if hired without BSN, must complete degree within 5 years.
• Minimum 1 year of L&D and postpartum nursing experience.
• California RN license is required.
• NICU/Nursery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and maintains competencies for LDRP RN.
• Collaborates with CUS, Nurse Manager, and Senior Director.
• Maintains perinatal evidence-based practices and MLKCH policies.
• Provides care during labor, cesarean, and vaginal births; newborn and mother assessments.
