Qualifications

Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) Clinical Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in perinatal settings, applying scientific knowledge from social, biological, and physical sciences to support patients and their families.

Key duties

• Assisting with labor, cesarean, and vaginal births.
• Caring for newborns and mothers.
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Documenting care activities.
• Responding to maternal and neonatal emergencies.

The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team, adherence to evidence-based practices, and maintaining competencies in emergency and routine care.

The nurse acts as an advocate for patients, educates families, delegates tasks appropriately, and evaluates care effectiveness to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or commitment to obtain one within five years.
• Valid California nursing license.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience in labor and postpartum care.
• Nursery/NICU experience.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish) are preferred.
