Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO seeks an experienced LDRP Director to oversee daily delivery unit operations and staff scheduling. The role requires extensive L&D leadership, a current Colorado RN license, and relevant certifications, with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient care.

The position offers an exempt status under FLSA and an attractive compensation package with relocation as applicable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with 10+ years in Labor, Delivery, and Recovery & Postpartum.
• At least 5 years of leadership/directorship experience.
• Current Colorado RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily preparation of delivery rooms and schedule; assign staff based on competencies and needs.
• Identify patient service requirements by building rapport with patients and staff.
• Maintain nursing guidelines by updating policies and procedures.
• Ensure quality of care by aligning with standards and regulatory requirements; monitor outcomes.
• Provide information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
• Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment; manage maintenance and inventory.
• Assist in monitoring professional care standards per national guidelines (AWHONN, AORN, ASPAN, AMMI).
• Assist with patient care as needed including circulating and/or scrubbing; take call as assigned.
