ARMStaffing is seeking a Labor Delivery Recovery Nurse (LDRN) for a 13-week contract in Gunnison, Colorado. The role requires a mix of day and night shifts, including 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, and focuses on compassionate care during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.

The ideal candidate holds an active Colorado RN license with LDRN experience and current BLS/ACLS certifications. CAPS check is required, and reliable transportation is necessary for rural travel.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check completed.
• Reliable transportation due to rural area.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Monitor vital signs and assess health status throughout the labor process.
• Assist in medical procedures as required by the attending physician.
• Educate patients on childbirth and lactation.

Job Description

As a Labor Delivery Recovery Nurse (LDRN), you will provide compassionate and high-quality care to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process. Your role encompasses a full range of patient support, including childbirth and lactation education, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and offering emotional support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Monitor vital signs and assess health status throughout the labor process.
• Assist in medical procedures as required by the attending physician.
• Educate patients on childbirth and lactation.
• Offer emotional support and guidance to mothers and families during the labor and delivery experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Colorado.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Completion of Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary due to the lack of public transport in the rural area.
