Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Texas is launching a Leadership Development Program designed to cultivate capable individuals across our operations, from warehouse and delivery to sales and project management, preparing them for management and sales roles.

Participants gain hands-on training in every sector and complete a structured progression with assessments, mentoring, and rotating assignments to build leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.

• Excellent communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities.
• 18-20 month program with comprehensive training across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Participants will rotate through warehouse, delivery, counter sales, inside sales, project management, outside sales and management.
• Graduates are prepared for management and sales positions within Elliott Electric Supply.

Job description

Summary: The Leadership Development Program will cultivate well-rounded individuals to become knowledgeable in Elliott Electric Supply’s processes, procedures and programs equipping them to lead others effectively. Employees participating in the LDP gain valuable skills and experience to significantly enhance their career opportunities in management and sales. The LDP deepens understanding of the company’s operations and sharpens leadership abilities, establishing strong candidates for management and sales positions within the organization. A successful candidate will be a driven self-starter, enjoy learning in an ever changing industry, have top level customer service skills and be able to thrive in a competitive & fast paced industry.

LDP recruits will gain extensive knowledge of supply chain management by training in all aspects of our operation. This includes warehouse, delivery, counter sales, inside sales, project management, outside sales and management. Recruits will be required to show a comprehensive understanding in each area before moving to the next stage of training. Graduates of the program are well equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to establish a rewarding career with Elliott Electric Supply.

Qualifications:

• A college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred, but not required. (If a candidate is recruited from directly from a college or university, they will be expected to complete their degree).

• Have excellent communication skills; be self-motivated and a problem-solver.
• 18-20 month program and must be able to participate in the following: Predictive Index (Pi) Assessment; Eaton 101 & 102 Product Training; Completed EPEC Bronze Program; Store Services Training, E-Training; Mentoring; Reviews & Assessments; Job Rotation in Every Sector

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk extended periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, push, and pull.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Must be open to train on any required heavy equipment (sit-down forklift, reach forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack, hand wands, etc.)
