Qualifications

• Must hold MSW or equivalent from CSWE-accredited program.
• Independent LCSW license (or state equivalent) active and unrestricted.
• Knowledge of professional standards and ethics in clinical social work.
• Experience with brief behavioral interventions.
• Minimum 2 years of peer-reviewed clinical social work in mental health; government setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee suicide prevention programming, reporting, and initiatives for active-duty SOF members.
• Apply social work procedures: interviewing, assessment, and evidence-based therapies across individual, family, and group modalities.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, and military commanders as required.
• Provide clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees.
• Ensure reporting accuracy and timely compliance with SOCOM directives.
