Job summary

The Missouri Department of Mental Health’s Forensic Treatment Center North in St. Louis is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support the Competency Restoration Program.

The role focuses on social service assessments, treatment planning, case management, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a secured inpatient setting. Ideal candidates hold MSW/LMSW/LCSW (or near MSW completion), have experience with mental illness or substance use disorders, and possess DSM

Qualifications

• Experience caring for clients with mental illness or substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of the DSM, evidence-based practices, and best social work practices.
• MSW/LMSW/LCSW preferred, but BSW or related degree nearing MSW may qualify as Clinical Caseworker.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Social Service Assessments (Initial and/or Annual).
• Complete admission paperwork and provide documentation.
• Provide individual and/or group treatment related to skills, therapy modalities, and competency restoration.
• Develop and review Individual Treatment/Rehabilitation Plans and progress notes.
• Offer case management to assigned clients and coordinate discharge planning.
