Job summary

ReDiscover in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Forensic Competency Restoration Provider I to join the Diversion & Intervention Services team. You will perform competency restoration and behavioral health interventions for defendants in custody, using evidence-based practices and coordinating with DMH, JCDC, and partner agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a social science field, at least two years of case management experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science field from an accredited college or university.
• At least two years of case management related experience required.
• Ability to work in a secure environment and follow JCDC rules and regulations.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with defendants, JCDC staff and leadership, courts, law enforcement, prosecutors, public defenders, and community partners.
• Provide competency restoration and behavioral health services using evidence-based practices to defendants deemed Incompetent to Proceed.
• Coordinate services and maintain ongoing communication with the Forensic Mobile Team and other providers.
• Connect individuals with resources upon release and provide case management to promote continuity of care.
• Attend meetings and trainings related to forensic behavioral health services and coordinate with DMH and JCDC.
