Job summary

The Missouri Department of Mental Health seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – South Campus.

The role emphasizes therapy, case management, and coordination within a Cognitive Behavior Therapy-focused program for individuals with antisocial traits. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, risk assessments, and liaison with guardians/families, with a workload suited to a minimum caseload of ~16 cottages and daily social services

Qualifications

Degree and/or license in Social Work (MSW, LMSW, or LCSW) preferred, but minimum qualifications may be considered.
Working knowledge of DSM, evidence-based practices, and social work ethics is encouraged.
Ability to perform social service assessments, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive social service assessments (initial/annual).
Complete admissions and discharges; provide individual and/or group treatment.
Write weekly/monthly progress notes and discharge summaries.
Offer case management to assigned clients; coordinate with guardians and families.
Conduct suicide and other risk assessments; participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Collaborate with team to orient and discharge clients through legal processes.
