Job summary

The State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is seeking a licensed professional counselor to provide services on an interdisciplinary treatment team for mentally ill forensic clients in a high security setting.

You will develop, implement, and coordinate counseling and related therapies in an assigned program, presenting treatment plans at interdisciplinary meetings and potentially serving as team leader or coordinator.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of psychodiagnostic and psychotherapeutic theories and techniques.
• Ability to administer, score, and interpret complex test results.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate counseling and related therapeutic services in an assigned treatment or habilitation program.
• Formulate and present treatment plan recommendations for review during interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• May function as a team leader/coordinator.
