This role involves contributing to Course of Action analysis using Operations Research methods, planning and conducting research to establish qualitative and quantitative assessments, and interacting with various research entities and industries. The position requires producing detailed analytical reports, presentations, and supporting the continuous improvement of analytical skills and competencies.Key Responsibilities* Contribute to Course of Action analysis using Operations Research and Analysis methods to mature capability requirements.* Plan and conduct research to study and establish qualitative and quantitative assessments of operational effectiveness.* Interact with research entities and industries to establish the impact of alternatives on operational effectiveness.* Support the creation of Requests for Information and surveys.* Analyze the potential impact of identified risks and propose risk management approaches.* Elicit, review, and assess schedule and cost estimates to ensure quality and supporting evidence.* Analyze and document comparative assessments of cost, risk, schedule, and operational effectiveness.* Produce decision briefs, presentations, and written reports describing analytical outcomes.* Produce summary briefs of lessons identified to support continuous improvement.* Travel to meetings and conferences may be required for up to 60 days per year.Required QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative degree is required. Alternatively, candidates with 5+ years of Operations Research or Operational Analysis experience conducting and leading analytical studies in a relevant military, strategic, political, or international environment will be considered.**Experience:*** A minimum of two examples in the last 10 years (at least 3 years combined duration) in military Operations Research, Operational Analysis, or Data Science supporting policy development, capability development, or acquisition. With a relevant Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of experience in the last 5 years is required.* Experience designing, leading, and facilitating structured stakeholder engagements to elicit objectives, assumptions, and risks in support of defence capability decisions.* Experience within the last 5 years determining Operations Research/Operational Analysis requirements, scoping problems, developing analysis plans, and delivering outputs that influence senior decision-makers.* Experience developing data collection and analysis plans or assessment frameworks.* Experience gathering evidence and scoring effectiveness through operations research and analysis methods applied to defence domain issues.* Experience identifying, assessing, analyzing, and communicating uncertainty and risk associated with project, program, or portfolio decisions.* Experience producing or working with cost and schedule estimates, including methodologies and processes.* Experience working in a strategic or operational military command or multinational organization.* Experience supporting project, program, and/or portfolio decisions through analytical assessment in the past 10 years.Preferred Qualifications* Experience using AI to support Operational Analysis (OA). *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
