Job summary

SCIEX is seeking an Application Scientist to support LC-MS demonstrations, application development, training, and customer-facing activities in North America. The role is on-site at Marlborough, MA or Golden, CO and partners with Sales, Service, and Product teams to deliver pre-sales support and technical expertise.

The candidate will contribute to life science analytics customer solutions, collaborate with regional colleagues, and attend scientific conferences and trainings to stay current.

Qualifications

• Requires PhD/ MSc/ BS in chemistry or related life sciences.
• 2+ years with MS, LC-MS and analytical techniques; strong method development, validation, and LC-MS/MS troubleshooting.
• Ability to present scientific data clearly and build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Proven capability to troubleshoot instrumentation and applications.
• Experience with small molecule quantitation on triple quadrupoles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations of SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows.
• Provide on-site training for customers on SCIEX hardware and software platforms.
• Collaborate with sales and service to identify growth areas and develop application solutions.
• Help define and develop new hardware/software products and test them within the product portfolio.
• Engage in conferences, seminars, and training to stay current and contribute to the scientific community.
